What to do before you arrive

  • Knocked-out tooth: handle it by the crown, not the root; if possible, place it back in the socket or keep it in milk, and get to us within the hour.
  • Toothache: rinse with warm salt water and take over-the-counter pain relief; avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum.
  • Broken tooth: save any pieces, rinse gently, and use a cold compress to reduce swelling.

Emergency treatments we provide Same-day exams and digital X-rays, toothache and infection relief, root canals to save infected teeth, repair of chipped and broken teeth, re-cementing crowns, and extractions when a tooth can't be saved. We treat the emergency and then plan any follow-up — including tooth replacement with implants if an extraction is needed.

In pain now? Call (858) 546-0500. We'll get you seen as quickly as possible.

After an extraction, follow our aftercare and gauze guidance to heal comfortably.
